    Violin Strings & Piano Wire

Past pulses as a broken metronome  syncopation of that which is ‘ere, o’er and true    Trombone tomb stone,  for whom the bells toll  may love have been louder than bombs    Can you hear colours of every drumbeat  feel maudlin mandolins opening your skin?

    • Beautiful. Music can take us anywhere even in the wrong direction. Myself, I love the cello and the sound of a weeping violin.

      • Many thanks A. Measured out my life with song. The cello straddling a piano is deliciously sad’som

    • hello dearest poet I can feel the deep resonating emotions from this poem ❤️

      • Thank you Crim. Music can nail the strongest of emotions to the heart’s guts

    • Dark and wonderful even if it wasn’t meant to be! Excellent write!

    Eye Candles

Candles within your eyes, illuming my shadow.  Lonely in the dim I was, there is now a glow to follow.

    • This short and I can’t help to say aww. This is sweet

    • You know what I like about you, Daniel? You write and pour your heart out and couldn’t care less what others think or if you even get a nod or comment. You’re incredibly talented. Never stop being you.

      • It’s how I’ve been living… pretty much in the shadow for a long time now. I refuse to analyze too many of other poet’s work and I don’t like there being too much rigid structure on writing. I write how I feel and in a fluid, bending structure that allows me to complete whatever piece I want the way I want it delivered to the world.

        Thank you as always Alexandria,
        Daniel

    • Esoteric and beautiful. The image you painted here was filled with passion and beauty. Enjoyed this much.

    • Very, tender moment described so nicely.

    • Love how the foreplay unfolds here so tenderly and not rushed. You write the scene with exquisite detail of sensual feelings and sensation. I could see it all so perfectly.

      • So glad you could envision it John. Grateful for your comment!
