I didn’t count syllables but each line flowed flawlessly. You have a talent for rhyme, that’s for sure. I wrote something similar years ago about Brier Rose but it didn’t go over well. I think people are suspicious of rhyming poems these days with the advent of A.I.

Thanks Tim! I usually just write random lines and thoughts, but this one took a quite a few days of careful crafting (and a lot of RhymeZone help, haha.)
I agree about AI poems… I think I’m getting pretty good at spotting them, that they have certain markers that repeat again and again. My former poetry site seemed overrun with them over the last year or so.
I appreciate the kind words, and that you like these oldy-timey sounding ones as I do!
