Pouring Emotions

Streaming tears
down my face,
ever flowing
not from sadness
nor grief.

A frenzy you created
within my body,
immense emotions flying,
overwhelming me
with nowhere to go
but to trickle down
my cherry-red cheeks.

A lot of us find shadows instead of answers when we look inward. Your comment captures that feeling well, Tim.

Dust Before the Storm

Poetry

April 9, 2026

The warning didn’t comewith sirens or lights. It came quietly,a shift in the air,a stillness settlinglike dust before a storm. The horses grew restless, pacing the fence line, ears toward somethingI could not yet see. Even the cowslifted their heads, watching the horizonas if it...

I have never been in the path of a tornado. But I have been in my share of storms that I should have listened to clear out. Strongly felt piece

Thank you, Fia. Those kinds of storms leave their own mark, don’t they?

Damian, that means a lot. I’m grateful the visuals spoke to you the way they did. Appreciate you, truly. 🙂

You’re right, Tim. Animals always seem to sense what we try to ignore. My dogs know before me.
