    Cloud Bursting

Cloud Bursting    The sky skeleton  opens her rib cage  to cradle our skin storm,  which now only falls as rain    Sailing our ship alone  lighthouse blinks within coffin,  maybe you can pack a suitcase with sadness  walk backwards down star staircases    Unbuttoned and undressed  naked as winter tombs,  moving-on submits...

    • I like how this feels ethereal & familiar. The movement in it is elegant & the wording unexpected & perfect. Welcome to the Stars

    • Very kind. Thank you

    • I like the cadence and the flow ….

      BIG LIKE

    • Thank you. Really good to see you again. Hope you are well. R

    • Dear R,

“moving-on submits my mouth to braille” how familiar this feels and such a brilliant description of trying one’s best to move-on. I can really appreciate this process. It’s difficult beyond comprehension and as lonely as it can possibly feel. Hauntingly lovely piece.

    Selachophilia

Aye!       Let them come...  those rude & angry points    of misplaced palaver,    let their tongue stones conjoin    to appreciate teeth.       (I only wish to love & die with the sea,    to...

    • Did not know sharks are older than Saturn’s rings. Figures, they are rulers of their domain. This is an interesting piece like the underwater theme. I feel that you are bringing attention to the destruction of the oceans. At least that is what I am getting from this,

    • hello dearest poet I love the way you wove the rhythm with the words it sounded like an old pirate… sharks terrify me I have had nightmares of being lost at sea swimming among them but I guess I should fear the land sharks more great write 💕

    • The flow of this…pardon the pun…is amazing. There’s calm & destruction found in the depths of the ocean. Definitely will be returning to read this again

    Ink

I get ink stains on my fingers because I play with my pen when I’m thinking. And I’ll frequently end up with it on my face. Some girls get racoon eyes from their mascara. But I get this war paint in smears and streaks.

    • well earned war paint. But let your words bring peace, too.

    • Hoi hoi
      Love your write!
I’d love to see you with Alice Cooper eyes (lol).
If your small part of your small world is this much fun…..?
      Kind regards, Gus

    • Ugh, I used to have little blue “tattoos” on my mouth from putting the pen in it. I so relate to this one! Where would we be without it?
