The Cailleach’s time of year is indeed a difficult one for many of us, my friend. When the sky refuses to wear that magnetic blue I love, I regrettably find myself “Winter Whining” as well haha. Your writing style and images here are akin to a cheekier Robert Louis Stevenson. Thank you for superbly poetizing your winter woes!

Thank you very much Clay, I appreciate your comment.
The weather in the Central valley of California has been pretty much the same. I can count the number of sunny days from the past 3 months and the morning fog seems to get worse. But either way, it allows me to observe and express this “seasonal depression” which isn’t too bad.
Hope you’re doing well.

Oh boy, do I relate to this one! I would say spring is coming, but there’s 2 things about that…allergies if it does come; and no guarantee it will. We’ve talked our environment to the point that nothing is solid and predictable. I totally get this one

Dear W,
A very relatable write. I hate having to get up in sections to make sure I don’t injure something in the process. And when did my nose become a faucet?? I wish I’d invested in tissue stock. Great to see you and Happy New Year! H 🌷

As Executive Secretary for 20 years, I was nodding vigorously at your description of the actual work. The organizer, thumb on the pulse, fingers in the files. My boss called me the “Real Boss.” Taken in that context, this is brilliant for that alone. Death is too small for me…damn…

Oh wow, what a piece. I mean, the flow of it and the constant reiteration doesn’t wish me dead, just seemed the whole thing.

Simply fantastic, Dru!

The meter may be a bit wonky, but your creative imagery, spot-on rhymes, and dancing rhythm make your efforts worthy a pound of Elvish Gold*
I really got a very good laugh out of your unique “Only You” sense-of-humor … especially, with L4 ‘n 5, Limerick 2. ; )))

Hoi hoi @Visions,
What a lovely write!
And – assuming that you took the inspiration off the photo – what a lovely prompt.I was taken back a bit when I saw the litter on the pavement. Let’s hope that that is remedied now.
If you’re a serious fan of Bob’s, you may be interested in other stuff than his music.
Paintings, train wagon, his record collection. I may be able to help you there.
If so, please send a PM or mail.
Not his own music, I must add.I think your post is a very valuable one.
If you’re American:
Thank you.
In all other cases:
Keep them coming please.
Kind regards, Gus -
Dear K,
Wonderful vibe. This piece had me thinking about each generation creating their own progressive ideas that will right the wrongs of the current one so to speak. But the 60’s…that generation was seriously like no other before, or after. Terrific write. H🌷

Once again you succeeded and writing and Article as powerful as meaningful on an important chapter of music history, Artists, and especially musicians were most often the ones to kick off change of social and political rules and customs. The Beatles and their generation initiated a real big innovation.
This is an outstanding article my friend! -
I believe I read this on WC. It’s just as good the second time reading it. Your photo cements the character of the poem. A snapshot in time I wish I could have experienced. Dylan was a poet with a guitar. Excellent writing.

Cleverly penned, Wally. Excellent write my friend. You had a couple of typo’s:
“Thus, I take up this quill and spill the ink to past the time” I think you mean “pass”
“Bu it’s fitting” this is the other.
Appreciate you
