A Monday of Opposites and Gravitational Longing

      13th arrives
with the blunt honesty of a Monday
      that refuses to disguise itself.

It is a day built on opposites,
      light leaning against shadow,
      certainty dissolving into doubt,
      the heart pulling forward
while the mind drags its feet.

      Everything contradicts everything.
      Everything attracts everything.
The whole day is a quiet collision
of forces pretending not to notice
how deeply they want each other.

      There is a gravitational pull
      in the air,
      not the scientific kind,
      but the emotional one,
      the invisible tug
      that draws you toward
      what you should avoid
      and away from
      what you should hold.

It is the kind of pull
      that makes the body lean
      before the mind decides,
      that makes the breath quicken
      before the thought forms,
      that makes the heart
      step into the room
      before the rest of you
      has caught up.

      And then comes desire…
      first as a spark,
      then as a tide,
      then as a quiet,
      unavoidable truth.

      Desire that stretches the day
like a wire pulled too tight.
      Desire that hums
      in the bones.
      Desire that knows
      exactly where it hurts
      and presses anyway.

      But desire,
      as always,
      invites its twin: despair.
      Not dramatic despair,
      not the collapsing kind,
      just the soft ache
      of wanting what is distant,
      or forbidden,
      or simply not ready
      to be held.

      Despair curls around desire
like a shadow around a flame.
      It does not extinguish it.
      It shapes it.
      It teaches it.

      And then,
      as if the universe
      cannot resist its own symmetry,
      desire returns.
      Again.
      And again.
      A loop,
      a pulse,
      a gravitational rhythm
      that refuses to break.

      April 13th is a day
      that pulls you inward
      and outward
      at the same time.
      A day that reminds you
      that opposites are not enemies,
      they are partners
      in the strange dance
      of being alive.

      Desire.
      Despair.
      Desire.

      The orbit continues,
      and you,
      caught in its gentle gravity,
      move with it
      because resisting
      was never truly an option.
