back and forth
the world swirls around
back and forth
the trees halted
wisdom speaks as they rustle their leaves
calling me to the garden
everything is watching me
seeing what I'm about
they are interested in the mortal who can hear them
hush now creature and pull up your chair
nature invites you to eat
the wealth of our bounty
is scribed on our circles
now count back to ten
breathe and exhale
open your eyes and believe
back and forth
the world spins
centuries go by
and then eons
the mountains turned to rubble
with a rise and fall of evolution
fires and meteors
still the trees kept rooted
recording time they whisper what is knowledge?
we know the cipher to the coded books
written in paper and blood
when in doubt, trust our sentient nature above all else
it's getting murky out
take note of us
back and forth
one, two,three..ten and awake
the winds say the garden was stilling
they utter quietly
information to be remembered later
