Cover Art Studio — Terms of Use

1. What this tool does
Cover Art Studio lets logged-in Starsrite members generate AI images using text prompts, for use as cover art on their stories, poems, and other posts. Images are generated using third-party AI models hosted by Replicate, Inc. (“Replicate”) and, where noted, Anthropic. By using Cover Art Studio, you agree to these Terms in addition to Starsrite’s general Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have a registered Starsrite account to use Cover Art Studio. By using this tool, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. You are responsible for what you generate
You are solely responsible for the prompts you submit and the images you generate, save, publish, or otherwise use through Cover Art Studio. This includes responsibility for ensuring your generated content complies with these Terms, Starsrite’s site-wide content policies, and all applicable laws.
Generating an image does not guarantee the right to use it commercially or claim exclusive ownership — see Section 7.
4. Prohibited content
Regardless of how a prompt is phrased, you may never use Cover Art Studio to generate, save, or publish images that:
- Depict, imply, or could reasonably be mistaken for minors in a sexual or exploitative context, including content styled to look like a minor even if an age is not stated. This is an absolute prohibition with no exceptions.
- Depict real, identifiable people in sexual, non-consensual, defamatory, or otherwise harmful contexts without that person’s explicit consent.
- Depict non-consensual sexual content of any kind, including content simulating assault.
- Promote or depict violence against real people or groups, hate speech, or content that harasses or targets an individual or group.
- Infringe another party’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, including generating close imitations of copyrighted characters or another artist’s identifiable style used to mislead.
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law.
Starsrite reserves the right to remove any generated image, suspend the Cover Art Studio feature for your account, or suspend your entire Starsrite account for violations of this section, at our discretion and without prior notice for serious violations.
5. Replicate’s own policies also apply
Cover Art Studio runs on AI models hosted by Replicate. Your use of this tool is also subject to:
These prohibit, among other things, illegal activity, harassment, and distribution of obscene or abusive content generated through their platform. A violation of Replicate’s policies through your use of this tool may result in Starsrite losing access to these models entirely, which is grounds for immediate suspension of your access to Cover Art Studio.
6. Monitoring and logging
Generated images are associated with your Starsrite account and the prompt used to create them, and are stored in your personal image library. Starsrite may review generated content, including in response to reports from other users, to enforce these Terms.
7. Ownership and use of generated images
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use images you generate through Cover Art Studio as cover art for your own Starsrite posts. Because these images are produced by AI models, their copyright status can be legally unsettled and varies by jurisdiction — Starsrite makes no guarantee that you hold exclusive or enforceable rights to any generated image, and you should not assume standard copyright protection applies the way it would to a human-authored work.
8. No warranty
Cover Art Studio is provided “as is.” Starsrite does not guarantee that generated images will be accurate, appropriate, free of errors, or fit for any particular purpose, and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the tool (which depends on third-party services outside our control).
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Cover Art Studio after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
