Walking down a path of my life
Flowers of various stages
Various species
Calls to a memory
Memories of youth
Foolish temptations
Righteous indignation
Love blooms
Further down the path
Maturity in its finest
Knowledge earned
Real passion discovered
Deep heart ache felt
Continuing
I see butterfly wings
Wish me nots
Weeds proudly present
Hope still present but fading
The path is long
The flowers are vast
Unknowingly I walk
Waiting to discover
Another bloom of me

well, one thing for sure… you are really blooming as a poet… perfect
Wawawa…lol Thank you Sam.😁
I unfortunately grew up seeing a lot of weeds and stickers. ha I guess life is like a road of flowers we see along the way. Some beautiful, some ugly. I like your take on it. Nice one, Fia.
Thank you, Tim 😊
“Walking down a path of my life”…So there is a flower called Ruellia Simplex. I walk past it each morning before work. Beautiful purple blooms…hundreds of them. When I leave at the end of the workday all of the blooms have been shed or blown away. The stark contrast is startling. But…the very next morning fresh new blooms await to greet me…hundreds of them. My reminder that each day is a new opportunity. Yet also a reminder to make the best of my time as life is too short.
That is so true. Life is short.
Beautifully penned, Fia. Another excellent write full of depth my friend. I concur with Sam’s comment: “You are really blooming as a poet.” Amazing read with a musing vibe to this ink. Appreciate you, Cuz.
