halted breath secrets best kept
confessions are never desired
jilted faith to have your trust broken
it kind of wrecks you inside
dull thouoght a broken heart
in the doldrums, I shine a deep onyx among the grey
seeping honesty, I am disliked
a liar’s tongue burns my mouth, and I flush
tis calamity to try and conceal one’s thoughts
evil deeds can happen without a moment’s notice
my disgraceful choice is to forgive
Unconditional love is a foul word these days
they even name it toxic
when two people come together and are each other’s rock
there’s no need to throw away the years
a mistress will soon bore him
my eyes watch on curiously
even feeding him hints to help his pursuit
it’s better to let him taste the fruit
and find out for himself it was just a fanciful distraction
and there will be others

Passionately penned, Brenda. Another excellent write with layers my friend. Amazing read as always. Appreciate you.
