the ashes of your soul, blow over my intution
building something out of nothing at all
just a feeling, keeps calling us back to one another
sacred hope, I corset my wild emotions, so unruly and scandalous
let my bosoms heave, disguising my sobs of regret
having moved you, in your stillest of places
never to touch your mortality
profane birds chatter, and the world spins
And for a moment, I forget
hurt, endowed, I feel you were once promised
But fate set our stars apart
to come just so close and no more
syncronicity of faith, your steps shadow mine
We might as well exist in different worlds
never couth I wouldn’t fit
I’m storm clouds and wild wind, blowing over the desert
you are poised and polished
though I’ve felt your force rush over me
and claim me as your own

Beautifully penned, Brenda. Another excellent write my friend. Appreciate you.
