A KISS 1
Have you ever been kissed by a rose
on a grave
in the pale moonlight;
by a rose laying cold
by the moon
in the light of a grave
with your name etched
by a kiss
from the one inside.
I am in love
with a kiss
on a grave
from the grave, laying cold.
A moonlight rose to expose
your wrinkled, dried breast
your forever cryptic smile
that whispers delight once in awhile
inviting me to rest
beside your rose laying cold
by the moonlight
in your kiss
on the grave.
A kiss.
A moon.
I am a name etched
by your kiss
on the stone
forever
kissed
by a rose
on a grave
in the endless moonlight.
(Thanks to the Seal song “Kissed By A Rose On A Grave” for the inspiration for the poem. I alone am responsible for any distortions that may have occurred in allowing myself to be tempted by these lips)
