it can’t be far away…
can it?
that elusive brighter tomorrow?
I’m not asking much…
just a warm spring day
maybe a chance of sprinkles
and a walk amongst nature’s glory
the cloying scent of honeysuckle gagging the senses
lilacs swaying in the breeze
birds in full choral exuberance
vibrantly budding trees
and a simple undirected stroll
maybe berated by an irate squirrel
as I pass too near its sheltered young
smiling because I get it…
I’m a mother too
deep breaths…
filling lungs with fresh air…
and hope

I get it too. This is peaceful and hopeful Willow

Beautifully penned, Willow. Such a hopeful and positive write my friend. This was an excellent read, nicely done as always. Your ramblings are amazing. Appreciate you.

I try not to let my mind out to wander on its own too often. Gets lost. But with these daily writes…sometimes I just gotta. Thank you, my friend 😊
Outside is where we belong. It rejuvenates our mind & soul. Great piece Willow.
Circumstances being other than they currently are, I’d be completely happy living in a tent. Being what they are though, give me a cabin on a mountain and I’m golden. Thank you 😊
I felt like I am there while reading your poem. Well done, Willow!
Is that you beside the Eucalyptus tree? “)
No eucalyptus trees where I am, hahaha. Thank you, M.E.
