maudlin feelings of a devious nature, did assault me
quivers of doubt shook me
nightmares of terror unnerved
while I slept
monsters of fang and claw
who pass as human by dawn’s own light
demons in truth
concealed with sunshine
lurk around hurting people
causing harm
friends who turn on you
breaking your trust
with a hurt that stays with you
and you cannot resolve
follow you into dreams
your fears made manifest
my gentleness hunted at night
my sorrow by daylight
tears grace my face by morning

Ah, this is haunting. A life lived across two faces of the same wound. Great piece Crimsin.
hello lovely Kay thank you graciously for feeling me on this ❤️
Hauntingly penned, Brenda. A very powerful write with a lot of depth my friend. Excellent work as always. Appreciate you.
