delving into the povertry of kindness
missing in the world
with gentle children suffering
angels of hope stoically watch
lifting them up should they fall
humanity in part looks away
as the tragedies go on
it is a chance for each of us to be our best selves
and help the defenseless
sorrow fills me at the plight of the homeless, also
what no one seems to notice
with all the scammers making a buck off lies
the broken have a morality not understood
they keep their suffering to themselves
asking little of anyone
some people say they are addicts
my question do you possibly know the pain they carry
that has shackled them this way?
tonight I pray that God turns up the sun
so they are warm
and if they need medication they get it

Amen, Brenda. An excellent write filled with empathy my friend. This one grabbed me by the heartstrings. Appreciate you.
Damian
hello dearest Damian thank you graciously I feel you empathetic heart ❤️
Anyone who judges and turns on or looks away has never experienced what they do. They live with a sense of entitlement and privilege they aren’t even aware of. Some of us can’t look away. Beautiful prayer, Brenda 🧡
