I moved from Buffalo, NY in January. It got too hard to get around 90% blind. I was so close to having my cataract surgery by February but I also came close to being hit by a car twice. My daughter moved me to Kansas with her. My insurance was canceled and I had to apply here. That took awhile. After 3 appointments, my left eye will be done on Tuesday. It’s scary to have someone immobilize me and cut into my eye. The right eye will be done two weeks later. There is a spendiwn/deductible on the surgery. If they can’t bill it, my son is planning to pay it. My spendown is over $1400. I was shocked he offered – we have been estranged for years. Same with my daughter. I’m getting to know my granddaughter, she’s so like me. Lol. I recently visited another daughter in Virginia. A 1000 mile trip. I wish I could have seen some of it. Much of my experiences will be reflected in my upcoming writing as I will likely shift into a horror mode. That is what swirls in my head these days. I hope I won’t creep you all out. Lots of changes in my life these past 3 months in Kansas. And 6 months total since my eye infection and vision loss. I look forward to coming back. PJ

Im so sorry to hear you’re going through all of that. You want you write horror go ahead. There are a few people on here that love it.
It wouldn’t be all horror.
First reading of your predicament, super sorry to read of this. But hopefully your surgeries are successful and we get a new Paula with a totally new poetic vision.
