Stress coiled around her eyes.
When hope dissolved
beyond light-years,
she slid open her dresser drawer.
Beneath sprawling pharmacy scripts
and towers of credit card bills,
the black metal trigger pulsed
raven-dark, alive.
With a velocity that could split stars,
and energy enough
to fracture galaxies,
she became weightless
a wandering celestial body.
Her universe ruptured
as skull fragments scattered
like stardust ejected
from a ravenous black hole.

Powerfully penned, Tim. This write hits like a freight train with it’s direct delivery my friend. A very chilling read. Appreciate you.

Tim you take one of the darkest moments in life and write it into a liberation. You have the consummate poet’s gift to transform this ending into a new beginning.
