This entry is in the series Ancient Oz

“Music played as the customers panicked and ran

Knowing that the ‘night of the evil scarecrow’ summoned the strawman,

“The Oz moon itself seemed to shrink and sway

But Krow the dark-skinned musician continued to play,

“From Steampunk Jazz to classical Oz music

The variety of piano play caused the Scarecrow to mentally lose it,

“Even when the screams of the dying echoed all around

It did not disrupt Krow’s rhythm or out mask his musical sound,

“Those who came across the Scarecrow’s dangerous path

Their blood turned into straw and their eyes into yellow ash,

“Vile words of fire the Scarecrow would randomly speak

Caused buildings to burn and religious faith to become weak,

“The Scarecrow dranked fear like biter moonshine

That made his yellow eyes glow and drip a mucus slime,

“But the Music of the Crow’s power disintegrated fear

And like a moth to a flame it drew the Scarecrow near,

“When the Scarecrow was directly at the Krow’s back

His right arm formed into a black sickle and launched an attack,

“Each death strike shattered like sand on glass

Causing the Scarecrow to hiss in fury and go mad,

“Without missing a note Krow calmly continued to perform

Until the piano, the Scarecrow and Krow was teleported into a field of corn,

“In the distance the town was burning from the Scarecrow’s aftermath

As bodies laid mutilated from its psychotic bloodbath,

“Krow’s music and the evil Scarecrow engaged in a magical war

That shook the Land of Oz to its enchanted core,

“Each song now played made Krow’s fingers bleed

And black feathers to break through his flesh like a newly planted seed,

“But the Scarecrow still stood, fueled by the evil of the night

Until he finally ripped open the flesh of Krow intending to end the fight,

“Playing his final note a murder of crows swarmed the Scarecrow like rain

Permanently destroying his memory and impaling the Scarecrow to a wooden frame,

“The piano dissolved into the ground reforming as a fence around the field

That silently vibrated music as a powerful magical shield,

“To this day legend has it that Krow’s body was never found

But some say his spirit still lingers within the crows that flies around”.
