Inquisitor
I dreamt I had a visitor
She eyed me with discretion
A beautiful inquisitor
She stumped me with a question
She asked, “What do you care about?”
And looked me in the eye
Confused, and stricken dumb with doubt
I answered with a sigh
“You Lazy Ass! Get off your Duff!”
Her anger turned me on
“Happy Life? I call your bluff!
Your spunk is just a con!”
Then she slapped me in the face
And shouted, “Do, or Die!”
I just stood there, all red-faced
Condemned by neutered pride
Now every night this dream repeats
It makes me wonder why
I lie in sweat, between the sheets
Before I sleep, I cry
