If I had to think of when we first met
All I can think of is the darkness
The waking hours are my sanctuary
You invaded the sanctuary
You’ve never said a word
I just knew when you were there
All of my fight was tossed out
I shake my head no
I can push through this
You have no control over me
Then the oppressive weight starts pressing down
Heavy my lids become
Thoughts become a jumbled mess
As a slave to your torment
I collapse once more
In sleep, that’s near death
