I have known of if since my youth
this pursuit of a barefoot truth
of a simpler way of living life
dewy meadows forever rife
Always finding myself left lost
left here tussled and tossed
by a most playful summer breeze
who loves to flirt and tease
For it is natural to then find
the essence of a peaceful mind
in the shade of this elm tree
beneath its wisdom ever free
Since I am a blonde dandelion
no longer content with denying
the rumors whispered by the stars
the destination within these scars
While I set out here once again
with only parchment, ink and pen
read to finally write things right
add my own luminance to this night

I love feeling the grass under my feet. I like how you bring in the breeze. Very calm piece. Like it
Beautifully penned, LDF. A lovely read my friend. Appreciate you.
