I crashed on Earth some time ago
used to be high up in the sky back then
the stars are home to little green men
that’s where I fit in

it all started while investigating
finding a newly discovered species
hoped to share their world
for my people’s ongoing living
this led to my ship being shot down
trapped in rubble while I was left bleeding
watched as military surrounded my body
but that was so long ago

looking up at glimmers, thinking
how long till the sun starts sinking?
crashing down on my poor
Axdromeda
(Axdromeda)
being held captive in a world I can’t stand
need to be rescued from this dusty land
phone home to tell my true love
let’s leave this life together
(together)

another dead head
looking at my reflection
forced to take on an image of a subordinate
help invent or become an experiment
enslaved for my intelligence
with no way of finding family or friends
missing my lover
I promised I would find salvation for
she still sits on our dying world
or at least I hope so

looking up at glimmers, thinking
how long till the sun starts sinking?
crashing down on my poor
Axdromeda
(Axdromeda)
being held captive in a world I can’t stand
need to be rescued from this dusty land
phone home to tell my true love
let’s leave this life together
(together)

escaping the clutches of their hands
I send out my transmission
up, up, at the speed of light
S.O.S, I’m ready
I’m ready to come home
my mission’s a failure
the people of this planet are hostile
if our people settle here we’ll be captives
there is no hope…

      • I would like to think so myself. And honestly it would be impossible for us to be the only life. The universe is just too big. Thanks for the read, friend. Much appreciated.
