As skies sweep a rainbow
humming a storm in throat
wet gasp violet bruise indigo
as a sparrow shakes its wings
What silk the heaven wears
where light bends its knees
God wrings out his hair
as dawn chases the horizon
Between fingers a light bleeds
like a lover pulling petals apart
counting yes no yes no yes
while the sky gathers its gold
The sky cradles the stars
like a newborn baby
never willing to leave
it’s mother’s bosom
Nested and perfectly content
as the moon rises where now
darkness meets the horizon
shutting out today’s light
until ‘morrow in the night
there is such beauty
where there is also sweet sorrow
as skies sweep a rainbow

Such an honor. ♥️
