We’ve been playing around with ways to bring more writers onto the site—new voices, different writing styles, and fresh perspectives on poetry, songs, and short stories. This is a community, and everyone is welcome. New eyes help us grow, and growth expands how we see the world through words.
Hypo Frost Bookstore Is Open!
I’m happy to announce that the Hypo Frost Bookstore is now live.
Those of you who gave consent to have your books included—your work is already there. If you don’t see your book just yet, don’t worry; it will be added over the next couple of days. The bookstore is growing daily, and it’s exciting to see it expand.
Text-to-Speech Add-On Update
We’ve added a text-to-speech feature to make poetry and short stories more accessible—especially for those who have difficulty reading but still want to experience your work.
If you do not want text-to-speech enabled on your poem or story, you have two options:
- When posting, click Audio/Video — this will automatically prevent text-to-speech from activating, even if no audio or video is added.
- Add # excludetx (#E-X-C-L-U-D-E-T-X) at the tags option.
Your comfort matters, and this feature is entirely optional.
Groups Update
- Music Is Art is really starting to come alive—love the energy there!
- Other groups are currently on hiatus but will be returning shortly.
- Back to Basics will restart once a few more members join, so if you’re interested, now’s the time.
Bookmarks Issue
We’re aware that bookmarks are temporarily holding favorite poems and then disappearing. We’re actively working on fixing this and truly apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience while we sort it out.
Competitions
The next competition date is now posted—check the site to see the submission deadline and judging timeline.
I’m incredibly pleased with the turnout and the enthusiasm around competing. In an upcoming news cycle, I may be announcing something to sweeten the pot, so stay tuned 👀
Final Thoughts
This site is always evolving—and that’s intentional.
We’re all different. We interpret differently. We come from different parts of the world. That diversity is what makes Stars Write special. Not everyone writes the same, and that contrast expands our creative universe.
