Hoi hoi!
An American friend wrote beautiful poems/lyrics for songs that didn’t happen.
I thought it would be a very nice idea to change that.
Plus, I could never write such a romantic poem!
Listen closely please, this is romantic love!
Not between Faith and me. Of course not silly!
So:
– Lyrics: Faith Brigham
– Drums: Lumbeat (Thank you Lumbeat!)
Loving Me
It played out
In plain view
For all to see
The way you
Love me is
A wonderful thing
You claim it
Happened even
Before we met
You knew you
Loved me
And always did
I was surprised
To hear that you
Have already made
Plans for us
I felt for you
An immediate trust
The bottom line
Is simple and sweet
I love your
Loving me
a r d e n t l y

Enjoy!
Kind regards, Faith and Gus
PS
This is Shoegaze music. Coming from Dream Pop. Please don’t worry about the mix. I hope I know what I’m doing.
So:
Drums mixed back, blurred soft singing, chirping guitars that put their arms around you. (Rapier – English silver foil pickups). Faith and me were complimented by an estimated 12.000 people who came to listen. See what it does here.

This is so beautiful, I can see why you both were complimented.
Chère F.,
Thank you so very much for your listen!
It really means a lot!
Faith and I salute you!
Warm regards, Gus
This is really a fruitful and beautiful collaboration! The poem is intense and lovely, the music as always skillfully and artistically composed and arranged. Both of you did a wonderful job!
Chère S.,
Hope this finds you well.
And I love it very very much that you took the time to listen (and read).!
This is what dream pop/shoegaze is all about. Why treat the voice differently than any other instrument?
I’m looking forward to writing lots of music and hopefully another coop with you!
Also on behalf of Faith Maree, grateful for your listen.
Warme Wellen (sagt GTranslate that’s when I wave to you?) und
Herzliche Grüße, Gus
I’m looking forward to further compositions of you, dear Gus! Of course, i would also appreciate a further collaboration with you.
In German there is a big difference between the substantive and the verb.
The wave = die Welle
To wave at someone = jemandem zuwinken. In German you can simply say
Herzlich (Warmly),
Elke
Great collab. This is beautiful.
Hi Kay
We’re grateful for you listen and comment.
Much appreciated!
Kind regards, Gus
