when the levee breaks

sadness day I often cry inside
beautiful understanding it is needed
to know happiness

ugly thinking utopia
if it exisits I don't want to go there
what a strange existence, so very bland
rollercoast life with its twists and turns
up and downs thrills me

corrupt a vision I'm growing
a change of tides and sorrow floods over me
with an embrace I bless her for allowing me to feel

my joy comes from walks in my garden with the master
observing his mad genius
contemplating his views

did you know we hurt his feelings sometimes
do you know how patient he is with you waiting for you to evolve
into the companions he envisioned with prophecy

dreaming of the day you would grow
he looks forward to each debate with you 
as your mind struggles to understand his precepts

did you know we curse him for cetain things
not knowing all the ways he serves us
he is beautiful to me

did you know he judges himself harsher than any of us
my heart weeps knowing how lonely he sometimes gets
being a singularity of hope
hoping to have family of a likemind to enjoy his vast creations

some people love God 
but don't seem to understand he has feelings and desires too
and others hate God 
and God still loves them

he is patient and kind
bashful at times
eager to share his opinion and terribly hurt when we reject it
for my part I'm grateful to know him
