Forget how to love
and learn how to hate.
That’s my advice
for young, audacious writers.
Â
Learn to embrace
who you really are.
Forget the facades
that are flattery.
Â
Forget gregariousness
and learn when to be silent.
Forget bullshitting
and learn not to believe your lies.
Â
Learn to forget
how much the traumatic memories hurt you.
Learn never to forget
those traumas are your writer’s ammunition.
Â
Learn to forget
the writing styles of others.
Learn never to forget
that your craft is original to you.
Â
Learn to forget
who you’re not.
Learn never to forget
who you are!

Powerfully penned, Daniel. Sound advice my friend, lots of truths in this write. Appreciate you.

This is sound advice, and I’m pretty sure someone would have needed that.
Now this… yes!
I’ve said it before, my friend, you have abundant knowledge, resources and wealth of experience that others can benefit from. When we step outside ourselves and help others, we benefit as well.
Solid post, Daniel.
Thank you, Adira! Writing this made me feel much like an old wise man… lmao. And I hope I can benefit from it as well and write more inspirational pieces!
