Ship log, Alpha Centauries 3943

We have been on the run for seven cycles. The tracker ray is for life, it won’t wear off. We have out manoeuvred our pursuers, but every second I feel them draw near.

Onue has found a star surrounded by planets. One appears to be populated.
They are advanced. This will make a good place to hide.

Their planet is too advanced. There are billions of them. I am charging up the ships time skip. We’ll see how advanced they were.

Zargis will still be able to find us in the past. The tracker ray transcends space and time. But he might be more cautious about travelling back.

I am too hungry to sleep. My back is aching and my feet are numb. Every so often we take in turns at the stove. The embers are dying now. There is barely any heat left.

Tomorrow will be bad. The weather is getting cold. Without bread we won’t last another day.

There is a small hole in the wall. I removed the knot. The sky is cloudless. The stars are out.

A huge blue-red flash lit up the sky. It’s not an air raid; there was no explosion or whirring planes above.

It’s probably some new weapon. It would be better if the bomb landed on us. It would end our suffering.

Ship log, Earth 1943
The time skip was a success we have travelled back two thousand years. Onue has scanned the area. Our ship is above a camp full of bald humanoids. At first glance it looks like a series of farm sheds. The sheds are ringed with wire. There are armed guards patrolling the wire.

This is a prison.

The outside temperature is minus 12 degrees. The humanoids inside the sheds are packed in tight. There are males, females, and children. They appear to be malnourished.

Onue has scanned their brains for language frequencies. He has two matches. They have been uploaded into my brain drive. I am taking a trip down to find out why these creatures are locked up.

My shifter suit has made me appear like one of them. Down I go.

The shed is filled with sleeping people. The lice are rampant. They are starving and worn out. My scanner has confirmed one dead. They are wearing worn stripy clothes with little stars on there arms.

A young looking one has seen me.

“Who are you?” said the face.
“I come from beyond the sun.”
“Of course and I am Moses.”
“What’s going on here? Why are you locked up like this?”
“We are Jews?”
“What are Jews?”
“I wish I knew. It is our religion and our race.”
“You have committed no crimes?”
“It is a crime to be Jewish in this land.”
“That is alien.”

Before I could finish Onue’s voice came through my earpiece.
“Zargis has pinpointed our time signature, we need to move,” said Onue.

I wasn’t ready to leave. I wanted to help these prisoners. I zipped up to the ship, went straight to the armoury, and loaded fifty static-blast pistols into a hover crate. I went back down to the shed.

“Take these weapons, click the trigger for a single shot, and hold the trigger down and release for a blast. They need no bullets. This should even the odds for a bit”

I didn’t wait for a reply. I zipped back up to Onue and our ship went forward in time.
