wicked smile with a glean in my eyes
my sinister thoughts would see light
with a darkness not understood I unleash
the veiled bleak come forth
an intake of breath then deep exhale
burning those in my path
stoked anger lunged forward
and I laugh
it would crumble even those made of steel
turning stomachs is what I’m good at
wretched and decrepit
gruesome need to be spoken
and speak I did with a hiss
expelling my bleak
it ooze like an open sore
twisting the screws tight
an explosion of feeling
scarred desire massaged my blackness
enchantments were cast
and the illusion was complete
you see a ray of sunshine
look closer my dear
and taste my seethe
bitter regurgitated truths
that will crumble your stone
Powerfully penned, Brenda. This has so many shades of depth my friend. Appreciate you.
Damian
hello dearest Damian for showing your love on this my dark repels some but it’s a part of me as the light is I appreciate you accepting me 💕
I love it when you write dark poetry. It gives you “I should run” vibes
hello beautiful Fia thank you graciously I’m not that bad though lol 💕
Hoi hoi
This type of dark poems are generally not my favourite, but you make it work.
The artwork makes it a bit lighter.
Like it a lot.
Kind regards, Gus
