Inked so wickedly,
so hauntingly beautiful.
Thunder booms within,
and lightning flashes in my eyes!
Striking the page,
paradoxical juxtapositions reign.
A macabre heart indeed,
metaphorical beauty draping
a living, breathing corpse
which holds still the pen!
Between my decaying fingers,
my pen inks on with every
crash of thundering within
and only then am I revived!
Only then, am I brought back,
with one foot still in Heaven,
I keep one foot stubbornly in Hell,
inking on! The black rose blooms
from the seeds I author onto the page,
these words! Words penned
in the glow of the candleflame,
drops of tears and wax onto the page,
my gothic creation parts its black petals
to you, revealing the darkness of beauty!
Darkly rich, hauntingly beautiful,
this gothic rose’s heartbeat thunders on
in some foreshadowing
of what is to come!
Then the chill of rainfall in a torrid upon
that black rose planted on my living grave…

Powerfully penned, Daniel. Fantastic imagery throughout my friend, incredible write. Appreciate you.
