Our emotions stir
from our quivering shadows
in the glow of the candlelight.
Rhythmically,
our black hearts mingle
in our beats,
playing music
into the other’s ear.
The dripping
from the candle,
from the tip of my head,
from in-between your petals.
Your shaded lips
pressed into mine.
Your oval green eyes gaze
into the blue twilight of mine.
And it’s within this twilight,
you recognize the candleflame
within my soul,
a flame burning for you.
Its intensity,
its mystery,
its macabre aura
its death…
hello Daniele this is written beautifully I love it 💕
Thanks as always, I’m not sure whether to continue it? My character would definitely become scarier… haha.

Sent shivers (lovely creepy shivers!) down my spine – well done! harriet-jacqui xx
Shivering, lovely, creepy shivers down your spine… now that tells me I achieved what I set out to make here… thank you!
In fact, your comment inspired me to continue this little gothic-romance thread, haha. Part six coming today!

Hauntingly romantic with creepy tenderness, Daniel. To be honest, I need something to spark creativity in me and this made me pose thought to a genre I’ve yet to really spill ink in. I look forward to reading more in your series.
Thank you, Pandy. My genre is Gothic-Surrealism. Though I didn’t invent the term, I’ve used it in a literary sense instead of art. Thanks, again and find that spark!
