Cracks in the armor start to appear
How long before they figure it out?
Surely someone will sense the fear
That lingers behind this self-doubt
Falling fast into this desperate abyss
When was the last time it was silent?
The punchline was a swing and a miss
As a spectator quickly became violent
Flaming tongues searing paper flesh
How long till this soul bares the mark?
These lies are old but the pain is fresh
Losing the light only leaves the dark

Not just the last line, the whole last stanza, Damian! Went back and reread it haha.
I always tell myself when feeling dark try being the light for others. I think if you are showing care toward people that can bring the light back.
Great ink
