...my reverence for Tigers
it’s your majesty
exuding in prominence
a story you tell
wizened thru patience
powerful and purposeful
your time is at hand
the legend of you
stalks the memory of man
etched in his passage
this ode is for you
sowed in a cheapened reserve
while the wild roam free
i apologize
for the zoos and circuses
and the mockery
as i write this rite
i know words won’t make this right
but they’re all i have
it’s your majesty
that humbles this poet’s soul
knowing you’re owed more
than a poem

This was great… well penned dear poet…
Glad you enjoyed. Big thx for sharing thoughts.

Beautifully penned, Naaj. Loved the message of the write my friend. All cat’s are amazing from domestic to the big cats of which you speak. It is a tragedy corporations want to profit off animals by imprisoning them, and sometimes the animals are treated very poorly. That’s Capitalism for you, they don’t treat people any better. Into the book it belongs! Amazing write. Appreciate you.

Def inspired by the pic, I wrote this being so moved spiritually.
It’s an older vibe but still resonates within
Thx always for the energy, bro

Cats are my second favorite being on the planet (don’t ask me where humans rate) the first being trees.
Tigers are majestic, stealthy, powerful, to be revered, which you did. Eloquently, I might add, in true Naaj style.
Have a fantastic day, Poet.
As a tree lover myself, I get you Adira. I’m glad you share my sentiments. Thx fur dropping in
Naaj
Anytime;)
I am perpetually in awe of nature. The prey they hunt are no joke, either. It takes serious force & power. These animals are mean & resilient. I work in the wilderness, and there’s been a 350-400 lb eastern black bear male stalking lately, I’ve seen him 4 times in the last six weeks, (with mama and cubs sighted significant distance away)….I am desperate to catch a photo but easier said than done lol
If I saw a tiger I guess it’d be pants-shittin’ time.
I don’t like zoos & circuses either.
Big thx for leaving such a thoughtful comment, Benjamin. Much appreciated

The power of their command is felt and yet they are caged to be looked at as if it changes the core of who they are. This is a good piece.
I can only imagine what it might be like to be caged and admired simply because I’m thought of as exotic.
Thx for vibing with this one, Fia.

What a profound piece, Naajir, can’t love this one enough 🌟
Tigers are mighty creatures & I hate to see them and other animals caged or in a circus 🙁
“knowing you’re owed more
than a poem” > your last lines left me speechless. Much respect to you 🙏🏻
Always appreciate your support and insights, Duende.
Much respect indeed
