I am always as dark as my ink
born in a most distant age
as alluring as I am sage
living my life on death’s brink
Using this wicked smile
just to get what I want
able to tease then taunt
with a most lethal beguile
For I never quaff but sip
savor the taste of everything
ignore every wedding ring
but leaving only a bit lip
A reminder of this night
a little souvenir if you will
about how I made you spill
far more than a poetic write
Leave you helpless and spent
with nothing left now to say
while I turn then walk away
mark you with my unholy scent
Posted the wrong poem… ooops
Oh my friend, you are the Goddess of this genre. I love the subtle flavor of this as I read and could see it all vividly in my mind’s eye. Like a vision of beauty and passion in which you leave your mark on him. That indelible sign of a night he will remember and be marked by forever.
John
Beautifully penned, LDF. This is an incredible write my friend. Appreciate you.
