The Pull

There’s a gravity to you,
quiet, irresistible,
the kind that pulls
without touching.

But when you do touch,
the night folds around us
like silk caught in a fist.

Your voice at my ear
undoes me faster
than the heat of your mouth
on my shoulder.

I fall into wanting,
into you.

We were diamonds once
brief
brilliant
our bodies catching the sun
every pulse a shimmer
every glance a spark
as if the world could hold us
without breaking

Steadfast Flame

Do not tire, do not fade
your small light still guides the way.

Lift your hands, whisper your hope
let mercy fall where hearts are closed.

Breathe, and breathe again
grace softens stone
faith carries flame.

Rise each day
extend your hand
your devotion flows
into the unseen, the unheard
everlasting.

That soft, God-sized silence
