Bio
Kelly Scheppers
I was never a pearl kind of girl. Always wore jeans with holes in the knees. I started writing
poetry right out of high school, gravitating to free verse, with a brevity of words being my
forte. I am most proud of the years I worked at a record store in the eighties. It was there
I submitted a poem on the death of John Lennon, which was accepted for publication in
a music trade magazine. My life thus far, has existed on the east coast of the Chesapeake
Bay, and the coast of Southern California. I’m an avid photographer, love watching classic
film noirs and thrifting for artwork, old books and anything vintage. My passion is my
poetry, along with adopting cats from local shelters. I am absolutely thrilled to be here!
Life is good!
