“I’m dead inside,” you say.
Like a graveyard
at midnight.
No mourners here
to trod untrodden
paths by your headstone.
Soulless and moonlit,
an empty body,
a starless night sky.
Heretic prayers,
unheard, fall on
silent winds.
I call your name,
wordless in my
incantation.
I yearn to
feel you
breathe inside me.
Take this lifeless
carcass and fill my
underworld with your darkness.
