death slid over me
barefoot and grinnin
hiked up her dress
and straddled me in the dark
she pressed her mouth to mine
her lips heavy with sleep
the taste of pills still meltin on her tongue
pullin the air from my lungs
said she missed the taste of me
how the color drains outa me
the way the light flickers in my eyes
when she touches me
the stillness that comes right after
my chest jerked under her palms
fingers numb
heat crawlin over my body
as the air thinned
and the world tilted sideways
she rolled her hips
ridin me slow
watchin me fade
with soft eyes and a sweet smile
when i started to fall
she leaned in
her voice cold
and whispered against my ear
“no Dru…not today”
those words hit like shattered glass
air rushed back in
lungs burnin
heart poundin
hands tremblin
stomach heavin
room spinnin
everythin too bright
too loud
i woke in my bed
chest tight
skin cold
sheets soaked with sweat
breath comin in uneven gasps
I laid there
achin for the quiet
half here
half gone
unfinished
and grumbled
“you fuckin bitch”

Eerie. She has staked her claim she was not ready to take you. Cat playing with the mouse. Very good
Powerfully penned, 253. Excellent write my friend. Appreciate you.

That was a royal tease in action there, that was. I felt that pull under and sudden release of not being released. Incredibly articulated
This is awesome. I say that frequnetly about your writes, because it’s true. Your “visions” come through within your writing skills. We can feel the impact.
Good stuff.
