As The World Caves In

Sometimes I wake up in eternal darkness.
And I really wish to escape.
All the plans and memories that fade.

That distract me from my loneliness and woe.
They protect me from war and foe.
Slowly over the years,the sun slowly got brighter.

But it was still dark outside.
And I pull an all nighter.
But as the sunset finally caved in.

I felt a presence near me.
A presence made of sunshine and moonlight.
A presence so warm.

And as the world caves in and burns.
The world will eventually end.
But it won’t be so bad with you,hand in hand.

And as the world finally caves in.
We shared one final kiss.
And remembered all that we will miss.

The sunset grew slowly brighter.
And the flames put an all nighter.
Because you are the flames that warm my heart.

And you are my wishing well,my dart.
As the world burns down in fire.
You are often my only and one desire.

Oh boy it’s you that lights up the sunsets.
And the nights so lonely and blue.
When you shine bright as the sunset.

We both have a red to pink hue.
You light up my world in flames.
When you call me all those nicknames.

Please,don’t beat yourself up.
Or your glow might dim.
When you are nearby,dark nights are never dim.

And since it’s our last night alive.
Everything turns to ashes.
But the world of our memories warms us.

It’s where we can escape.
From danger,this post apocalyptic landscape.

We both watched the news.

For it’s the end of the world.
