I’m sitting here enjoying the sound of the ocean crashing against the beach, and it came to mind how many have sat in this very same spot and created beautiful artistic pieces.
Whether from my vantage point, the Atlantic, or another’s viewpoint, Pacific art is always at the forefront of what you see.
I wanted to start a series of articles on poets and writers. This is not going to cover the long novelists who are well-known worldwide. It’s more like the short story writers who may or may not garner enough attention to get their names known. Yet they still write because it’s within their very soul that they must.
So, as I take you on this journey of poets and writers, if something I’ve said moves you in any way, please leave a comment and let me know.
My first spotlight is on S. Libellule. This poet has written over 21 books of poetry, which take you on a journey of emotions that span from love to heartache.
Within these books, I have traveled to Antarctica and felt the frigid cold, not only from the outside temperature but also from within. The talent that they imbue on the page shows the amount of skill and passion for the work.

“ For the polar water is clear
making itself sincere
with everything then said
in a climate of wonder and dread
Since truth can be so cold
within any truthful story told
barbed with every word
stinging before it is heard “
